„You have to hurry up if you want to see something, everything disappears“ – Exhibition at Schaffhausen-Saal, Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum HildesheimIn a workshop, the 12th grade advanced art course of Gymnasium Himmelsthür created light objects, projections and rooms of various materials in small groups. The students worked intensely on the subjects of light and light art. Linked to the last semester, they dealt with light and transience. Furthermore, the spatial characteristics of RPM’s Schaffhausen-Saal were taken into account.The exhibition’s title, a quote by Paul Cezanne, was given to the students as an impulse and accompanied the group through the workshop process.Opened during the opening times of the festival End of the exhibition: Sunday, 26.01., 9.30pm The cooperation with Gymnasium Himmelsthür was realised as part of LICHT.AN.SICHTEN, the children's and youth program of EVI LICHTUNGEN 2020. According to the festival motto “Sharing heritage” and “sharing contemporary spaces”, we would like to understand public space as a shared space for many. This includes children and adolescents. The program invites young people and children to make their perspectives on the city and the light art shown visible. Funded by the VGH Foundation and Förderverein des Gymnasium Himmelsthür
The 12th grade advanced art course's students of Gymnasium Himmelsthür. The workshop was given by the cultural mediators Gina Lang and Emily Garms. They were supported by Heide Junker, art teacher at Gymnasium Himmelsthür.
The exhibition is shown in Schafhausen-Saal of the Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum Hildesheim (RPM).
