Hildesheimatgefühl.
Das Projekt »Hildesheimatgefühl.« hat sich mit der Rolle der Stadt für ihre Bewohner:innen beschäftigt und sie gefragt: Was verbindet ihr mit Hildesheim? Nicht die Stadt an sich ist die Heimat, sondern wir Menschen, die den Puls Hildesheims ausmachen. Die verschiedenen Herkünfte der Studierenden bringen unterschiedliche Auffassungen hervor, was Heimat für sie bedeutet und wie sich dieser Begriff definieren lassen könnte. Die Synergie aus Ort und Gefühl rückt dabei immer weiter in den Mittelpunkt. Sowohl positive Assoziationen mit dem Heimatbegriff, als auch negative Schlagworte finden Eingang in diese Installation.
Die Antworten werden in typografischen Illustrationen an der Außenfassade des Dommuseums gezeigt und brechen damit die reduzierten Flächen, die die elementare Urform eines typischen Hauses besitzen, auf.
The project »Hildesheimatgefühl.« looked at the role of the city for its inhabitants and asked them: What do you associate with Hildesheim? It is not the city itself that is home, but the people who make up the pulse of Hildesheim. The different origins of the students produce different views of what home means to them and how this term could be defined. The synergy of place and feeling is becoming increasingly important. Both positive associations with the concept of home and negative buzzwords find their way into this installation.
The answers are shown in typographic illustrations on the exterior façade of the Cathedral Museum, breaking up the reduced surfaces that possess the elementary archetype of a typical house.
Hannah Menking, Franziska-Marie Holtz und Chris Knall sind drei Masterstudierende der HAWK Hildesheim. Mit ursprünglichen Wurzeln in den Städten Hannover, Gifhorn und Hamburg, brachte die Hochschule die drei zusammen.

Kooperation mit der HAWK
Wie auch in den vergangenen Ausgaben der Licht Kunst Biennale, haben sich Studierende des Fachbereichs Gestaltung an der Hochschule für Wissenschaft und Kunst in Hildesheim mit Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Licht im Raum auseinandergesetzt. Im Rahmen des Seminars URBANE RÄUME – Analoges Mapping entstanden diverse Arbeiten, die Licht als Medium und Material nutzen, um diverse Schwerpunktthemen in den öffentlichen Raum zu tragen. Geleitet wurde das Seminar vom Lichtkünstler Detlef Hartung.
As in previous editions of the Light Art Biennale, students from the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim have explored the possible uses of light in space. As part of the seminar URBANE RÄUME – Analoges Mapping (engl. URBAN SPACES – Analog Mapping), various works were created that use light as a medium and material to bring various key themes into the public space. The seminar was led by light artist Detlef Hartung.
